Puros Y Vino
An article on the rise of cigar smoking in England, despite new anti-smoking laws. http://www.newsweek.com/2010/07/23/smoked-out.html My favourite quote from the article. “There is a strong distinction between cigarette smokers and cigar smokers,” says Freeman. “What we hear from bars and restaurants is that cigar smokers are civilized people who spend money and spend time.”
Kangaroo495
I smoke both. And I'm civilised and I spend money. Bloody anti-smokers! That's smoke-ism! I take offence! EDIT: And bloody fantastic article!

Onsto
This is excellent and extremely pleasing in one way, and quite worrying in another. While I'm all in favour of more comfortable places to enjoy a cigar with friends, this runs smack into the concern that cigar smoking is becoming a snobbish behaviour not for the 'everyday' man. That I don't agree with; what I want are more places where (if the mood takes me) I can smoke an inexpensive cigar with a coffee or a beer and not have to worry about 'keeping up appearances'...
