A few recent acquisitions 1980s bottlings of Glenfiddich 15 and 18. 1980s bottling of Macallan 12 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My summer planned trip to Cuba was scuppered so I did the next best thing... a whisky buying trip/tour of Scotland! Had a great week with a mix of rain and glorious sunshine. Some great pick ups too -

Blanton's gold US release

3x Ardbeg Uigedail

1x Glengoyne 17yo

1x Bruichladdich "The Rocks"

2x Marie Duffau Hors d'Age Armagnac

Who still has the Glengoyne 17? It's discontinued :(

I'll chime in here.

Here's my latest drops.

Hoegaarden Grand Cru.

An absolutely divine Belgian ale that's chock full of sediment it looks like someones been ashing

in your drink but that last swig out of the glass with all of that sediment is just gorgeous, makes

you go a little weak in the knees.

And this is a very expensive bottle of Martell XO Cognac which I got for Christmas eve with the purpose of buying some cigars with it, so I got some Monte 4's and had a great time with the lads and that was my recent re introduction to cigars.

But wawaweewa what a drop, nipping away at it out of my crystal snifters while smoking cigars,

very debonaire we thought.

that's coming from a die hard Scot currently drinking Bakers 7 yr Kentucky Straight...ok.gif

I take that as compliment mate. I really wish I can get some good bourbons as you guys have access to.

some 20 year Kirkland speyside single malt scotch today....

Let me know how you like it - I picked one up in the hopes it would be as good as the 15Y Kirkland from Macallan distillery and it was not nearly as good as that :( More of a mixer for me.

father in law called me from AZ and got some for himself. Says he really enjoyed it. Like a good son in law, I asked him to buy 2 bottles. Little does he know that I bought it so he has something he likes to drink when he visits. :)

Wont be trying it until March but will let you know

Has anyone tried the new 15 year Kirkland scotch by Macallan?
