In no particular order: Woodford Reserve Eagle Rare 10 yr Four Rouses Single Barrel Elijah Craig 12 yr Angel's Envy

My top five bourbons overall are Four Roses Barrel Select OESO mash bill 13 year Four Roses LE 2013 small batch 125th William LaRue Weller fall 2009 release George T. Stagg fall 2014 release Fo

I'm a bigger fan of the Carmel and Chocolate nuances than the Anise and Spices. Plus it has to be greater than 90 Proof to cut well with water. The closer to barrel proof the better.

In order of most utilized:

  1. Wild Turkey 101
  2. Elmer T Lee
  3. Noah's Mill
  4. George T Stagg
  5. Blanton's

I'm more of a red wine / scotch person, but the ones I have liked are

Blantons and Wild Turkey,

have heard great things about Eliah Craig, though

1 - Bookers

2 - Pappy

3 - Shine

4 - Wathens

5 - Buffalo Trace

Originally being from Kentucky, Bourbon runs in the blood from birth and we just keep adding to it. I had to put the Moonshine in the list as when it's good it is great and better than most processed liquor.

1. Woodford Reserve - my go to bourbon

2. George T. Stagg - too hard to find, but :perfect10:

3. Evan William Single Barrel

4. Bookers

5. Eagle Rare 10 year

Buffalo Trace, Maker's Mark and Knob Hill all deserve honorable mentions.

cool thread, i'm looking to try some new bourbons myself, whats a good place to start for a total noob?

If you can find Buffalo Trace that is a great place to start. Should be under $25 a bottle and is one of the best dollar for dollar Bourbons going.
