Had some the other day. Was really smooth and I don’t like the brown stuff in general. May have to buy a bottle myself.

This bourbon gets routinely shat upon by the so called “experts”. They don’t know anything. This bourbon is one the the best values in the market and I always have a few bottles on hand. Nice pick!

I've never been excited enough about sherry cask finished bourbon to buy it. Was it very sweet?

peaky B is a terrific show.

i'm curious about the assumption that a sherry cask finish is automatically sweet? or am i misreading?

is there a reason for this or just your experience?

Sure, Yeah, I usually get a syrupy sweetness from it in scotch. Even when it is dominantly and dark fruits. I prefer new oak or reused hcharred I suppose which doesnt impart many sugars (seemingly) could just be taste bias. I taste anything fruity I feel it is sweeter than say vanilla or caramel which is untrue of course.

A little concoction I've been playing with I call a "Pink Cougar."  2-3 shots good vodka, several shakes of Peychaud's bitters and soda water.  All over ice.

Sorry man, just seen this.

It tasted like Apples to me......he asked me to try it and tell him what I smelled and tasted....I said Apples, he said....no....I frowned and took a sip then it hit me.....peanut butter with nuts....so think of a Payday candy bar......it was a different taste to me, but damn good! Was very smooth, but to answer your question, yes it was sweet.
