Usually I prefer smokey but there's a unique quality about this whiskey that is interesting. The whiskey itself is just okay. The burn on the whiskey is.. backwards. It starts incredibly smooth and the burn grows rather than whiskey that burns first and then you get the flavors. Its a bit sweet for my liking but palatable enough I'm not about to waste it. Be interested to know if it stayed as complex and delicate as when young. Tried the 2010 at the winery over lunch in that year and really enjoyed it. Although my fav was Pierro Chardy. Yes, they are 2015. Did read about 2015 being a great year for the Bordeaux region and good to know about the Winery- Thanks again. MA has some of the lowest prices on liquor in world.
