Aging Cigars

Recommended Posts

I'm a great believer in, smoke what you like, when you like..

I'm lucky to be the third generation cigar smoker in the family & learnt from that.

Most good cigars on production will remain good cigars aged.

People talk about cigars mellowing, that's not necessarily true. If by mellow they mean harsh flavours & ammonia being toned down then I would agree..but I don't want harsh or ammonia in my cigars.

Nobody as far as I am aware has done any scientific analysis on ageing as the variables are too great..all that's known is word of mouth & peoples experience.

I don't buy to age specifically, but will put a box away of a cigar I like (in bacofoil) & see what happens, I will check randomly to see what's happening & if they happen to be great I'll probably smoke a few.

The good side of ageing can be wonderful, I'm smoking excellent cigars now & I smoke 3ish a day, that I certainly couldn't afford at today's inflated prices on RE's LE's etc. in the UK...

Smoke some - put some away - be patient is the best advice I can give,,,
