You would have more fun and satisfaction and end up drinking a better product if you do a bit of homework. Start out reading whiskybase.com, whiskyfun.com, maltmaniacs.com, or by watching YouTube video reviews (such as Ralfystuff, Luke Rymarz, whiskybitch etc).
