Okay... I know there have to be a bunch of Amazon.com customers among this community. As a former employee (1999-2006 WOOT!) I've always had a soft spot for Jeff Bezos and pretty much everything Amazon does. The new AmazonSmile program is simply too cool to not share. Here's the gist: it's just like shopping as usual on Amazon, only now you go to smile.amazon.com to do your shopping and the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price to the eligible charitable organization of your choice. No money out of your pocket - just a small donation from Amazon to your favorite charity.

I signed up to have my local Ducks Unlimited chapter get donations and my wife selected the local Circle of Friends Humane Society for hers. It's quick and easy and it obviously goes to a good cause (because it's your cause).
