Best whisky you had in 2013

Mine is a toss-up between Springbank 12 yo cask strength and Bruichladdich Bere Barley 2006. The laddie ever so slightly edges it for me.

Enticing nose, gorgeous appetising cerealy mouthful and very soft and fresh on the palette with a 10 to 15 second finish that reverberates long after .

What was yours and why?

I really enjoyed my first introduction to Springbank. I tried the 15yr and liked it very much....

Prefer cognac to whisky, so for that reason I love the Glenmorangie Signet.

For me it was Bushmills 21 yo

Oban distliers edition, there is a citrus zest finish I have never tasted in anyother dram.

Tha Bruichladdich Bere Barley 07 of the Dunlossit farm for the cereal and salty taste profile and last but not least an Old malt cask of Laphroaig 12 yro bottle at 50% ( 387bottles only) simply because it was a perfectly balanced experience.

The classic the was.not discovered this year is the Talisker 18 yrs. If only it was not that rare and difficult to find....
