Obsession , hobby or addiction?

All 3 for me. I smoke 3 cigars minimum a day regardless of weather. Spend a lot of days consumed in one way or another with cigars (outside of actually smoking them). There is no doubt smoking 3 a day I feel it (physically) on the rare day that I don't get 1 in. I enjoy almost every minute of it!

I spent 10 years collecting photography gear and knowledge. I sold off some gear last year when I realized how much I had but I bought some cigars with most of the money. I have neglected photography lately but have thought about spending more time with photography but to be honest it would involve taking pictures of cigars.

Man, I'd love to see some good cigar porn from you! You live in a gorgeous part of the world, and the backdrops would be amazing.

I haven't been back that way to visit the family in almost 4 years, and can't wait to get back and take a few shots at some of the cool spots I remember.

As far as the hobby goes, I am obsessed

Unfortunately, i've never really had any cheap hobbies.

There comes a point where hobbies become part of who I am as a person though, a part of my identity. I don't know if that falls into one of the above categories, but I see myself as a guy who loves his family, work, playing golf, and smoking cigars.

Well I have seen your cigar pics and you have quite the eye. It was partly your shots on CCF that have me thinking about taking some myself.

This is a hobby for me.. It's become somewhat of an obsessive hobby only because I feel like I'm always searching for that perfect smoke, which makes it worth while. I have other hobbies which allocate a certain amount of time to as well. I don't smoke once a day, I'm more of a 3-4 per week type of guy that slows down a bit in the winter.

Cigars to me, are to be enjoyed in any way possible.. Even if yore smoking 5 a day, if you enjoy it, then God bless..

Obsession here. Not addicted. Smoked cigarettes for 20+ years. That was an addition. Quit 20+ years ago. Obsessed with all things Cuban cigars. Smoking, buying, aging, storing, accessories, etc etc etc. Case in point...I'm on this website every day for at least the larger parts of 3-4 hours.

I'm new to this hobbsession (See what I did there). Im interested in how it pans out over time. At the moment I could easily spend every spare buck I have on an untasted cigar brand, vitola, wrapper, etc

Definitely obsessed in this moment.

For me it started as a hobby (half filled 75 count desk top) but over the last 5 years it has mutated into an obsession (3 full to bursting 72 bottle wine fridges)

I keep FoH and another Aus based Cigar Forum open at work and check for updates every hour or so

I check halfwheel and Dusky Beauties every day for the latest news and reviews and browse on-line retailers once or twice a week looking for good deals or sticks that i'm yet to try.

I'm passionate about the cigar lifestyle and most of my friends will tell you that the only time you see me in a social setting without a cigar in my hand is usually right after I've finished one

I love how you can tie a specific cigar to a moment in your life, and then, years later, how when you smoke that specific cigar again it can take you back to that moment.

There a a number of cigars that I have tied to special moments in my life. Most of these are cheap or RP sticks that I just reached for because it was a good time for a cigar, but while smoking it, the cigar took on a whole new meaning to me. Now, whenever I reach for a Monte 2, it takes me back to a time in my life when i was at my happiest.

Tell me, what other "hobby" can do that?
