My neighbour is of the Greek Orthodox Christian faith and he kindly provided a sample of the unique bread that they consume during their Good Friday celebrations.

Got two salmon fillets on hot-smoking on the BGE, one dry-brined and the other wet.

Pre-cook:

Six hours later, couple to go:

Besides the 24:24, this is my favorite thread! I hope it continues a long time. I've got some great ideas for dinner from this thread!

Keep up the good work guys!

BTW, if you had a cigar after your dinner don't be afraid to include that as well

How to make your woman happy on her Birthday

20150527_192004_zpswtynuepy.jpg

4 ounces of seared Foie Gras on toasted Brioche. Caramelized Cippolini onions and cherries reduced with Calvados and Balsamic Sweet Onion preserves....

Pair with some Sauternes and get a smile almost as big as when she opens the jewelry.

Pretty good haven't had sea urchin and tuna belly this fresh outside Japan. Also this rendition of wagyu tataki is quite interesting.

Trying Persian cuisine tonight. It's really good and hearty.

Milder and more subtle than Indian but the flavour profile is very exotic.

If you haven't had it before, certainly worth having a shot.

That japanese dinner makes me want to cry.. I'd kill for that. I get to eat like that maybe once every 18 months 2 years living where I do :P The persian dinner looks good too.. Looks a little rustic, Resteraunt or know somebody familiar with it who cooked you a feast?
