Can you list your last ten or more smokes?

Recommended Posts

I know a few smokers that take notes every cigar they smoke. I probably should but still seem to be able to remember my favorites as I continue to reach for those that satisfy me most. The more I smoke, the more disappointed I am when the cigar doesn't fit. But I get bored with too much of the same. Finding it harder to find the next one that really fits for me, how about you?

Most recent most enjoyable smokes:

Monte 5, (at least 3) Monte 4, Monte Petit Edmundo, Punch Punch, couple farm rolls, Ramon Allones SS, PSD4, JL2, Partagas 898, CoRo, Epi 2, Bolivar PC, Partagas Shorts

Most recent less enjoyable smokes:

Partagas Lusitanias, Bolivar Libertador, Conni A

Most recent far less enjoyable smokes:

Sancho Panza Non Plus

I second that opinion on the non plus. Worst cigar I've had in the last couple years.

Most enjoyable as of late:

2011 PSD4

2013 Connie A

2013 Punch Punch

I have to say something for the quality and young approachability of the recent LGC MdO 2's & 4's.

I have been fighting not to smoke through them like wildfire.

Boli Corona Gigantes have been spectacular

Ramon Allones Superiores, and the Gorditos I've been demolishing.

I smoke something different nearly every time. Always rotating.

If I have a really really good one, then I will probably have something different in between once. And then bounce back to it.

But I only have (read: I am only allowed) 1 to 2 cigars a week. Definitely makes me appreciate them more.

For me, recents are Monte Esp No 2. PLMC, RACF, Party Corona, HDM Du Maire, SCDLH El Principe, SLR Serie A, HU Mag 46 and Trini Robusto T. And worth noting, Sancho Panza Molinos have been my absolute favourite recently. Have had two in the last 2 weeks that were like a 94/95 experience.

I have been curious on millions from sp, now I am sure that I need to try one!

Being hogging down on all things RA and PL lately. After a few months off, have also recently been enjoying Fuentes sungrowns and rosados as well as numerous Nicaraguans.

Still only like Partagas and HdM only very rarely for a change of pace.

The bros here urged me to get Molinos and I found two boxes from 2011. No regrets.

Surprised how disparate the quality among Montie 2, Trini Reyes. The Montie 4's I had this year were top notch.

I changed the title to this topic as it appeared too close to the "What's your daily smoke" topic. What I was hoping to see is how our tastes follow possible groupings. Similar to the topic "How many in your regular rotation", except I'd love to see what they are and the others that you may have slipped in along with your regulars in the last few weeks.

I don't like to smoke the same cigar too often so I take photos of each stick I smoke with my phone. I can tell you the last 50 cigars I smoked

I often try to find some redeeming feature in every stick I smoke, so for to be classified as "terrible" is rare.

That being said, the last crap cigar I smoked was a VR Unico on 22/2/15

I've got a friend that keeps track of them with photos as well. If you don't mind listing the last handful, I'd love to see some of it!

No, I can't name my last 10 but I do remember the ones I like and dislike the most.

Most recently:

RA Caprichios Was fantastic. I'll be looking for more.

ERDM Elegantes original Super! too bad it was discontinued.

SP Molinos and NP Liked them both very much.

Mag 46 Love 'em. Part of my regular rotation

SLR Regios Nope! Didn't do much for me. I would have sworn it had Nicaraguan tobacco mixed in with it.

Partagas Serie P no. 2 Nope. Didn't like it and I usually love Partagas

H Upmann Majestic - decent

Warped La Colmena Unico - excellent

Crowned Heads Four Kicks - excellent.

Cohiba Siglo IV '12 - good, but needs more time

Edmundo Dante Conde 54 - excellent!

Caldwell LLTK The Heater - one of my favorite new releases

Cabanacuan Connecticut - bland and flavorless

Caldwell Gibraltar - surprisingly good, given the price

PLPC '08 - loved this one.

Of the last 10 that I would rate as exceptional top to bottom:

CORO's (2): incredibly rich.

Epi 2: incredibly good.

Diamond Crown Julius Ceasar Toro: earthy and sweet cedar.

Wide Churchill's(2): great in hand, tons of cool smoke, love the opening.

All of them 13 or 14 box codes, Julius Ceasar had around 3 yrs on it.
