I bought whole box of Karl Malone robustos and they're good, 2 months now only 5-6 sticks left. Most of them are gone as gifts, friends were curious about Malone cigars, they know Jordan loves cigars, not knowing Malone making his own brand.

Thirds Posted April 29, 2020 Had my first last week and wanted to see if it was a fluke or if they really are that good. Great initial experience.

I'm going to try my 2nd one this week now that the shipment has had time to settle a bit. I might go the same route with buying a box of robustos because they're tasty, have nice bands and brand recognition with Karl Malone, and are a good handout/giveaway stick for friends being a solid medium body smoke... and I love basketball. I'm a big Cohiba fan and am always looking for new NC barrel aged/finished releases and this along with the Camacho rum barrel aged and Perdomo bourbon barrel aged CT's have been tops so far. 12 hours ago, Thirds said: Those Placencia cigars impressed me. Didn't know about the brand until I got a stick at the Vegas big smoke last year and was impressed and learned that they're one of the O.G.'s in the business.

While they are probably smokeable, I can’t imagine them being enjoyable. The D5 shown for contrast takes me 75-90 minutes; these monsters would be an equinox dawn-to-dusk undertaking. I'm not partial to the large RG sticks but since we're talking about them here and its a NC thread, I figured I'd share. I really enjoy Oliva as a NC brand. It's what got me started in cigars when I worked in a local shop during high school. When home or smoking for leisure, I'm 99% CCs but when I'm working its 75% NCs just because of price and still getting good ones that I don't care about throwing out if work requires me to. A large RG stick is not my go-to per say but a good friend/work vendor/fellow BOTL brought a few of these 10x66 Flor de Oliva's go one of the tournaments our company runs a few years back and we sparked up. It was a 4.5 hour smoke for me, about 5 for him and both sticks were perfect. Excellent construction, flavors were really good throughout and really never needed a relight or touchup. I'll take a lancero, Lonsdale, slim panatela any day over a large RG cigar but this made for a funny experience. 2

Also I’m really not a fan of pepper or big nicotine hits so sounds like I gotta try this one!

But the 175th Anniversary is an exception. Bought one because I was curious. Then went back a bought a box because they were that good. I often questions CA ratings because of the advertising aspect of the magazine. This one is one I think they got right.

Pepper and earth and lots of it. I feel like there’s this huge market of people nowadays that smoke NCs who basically want three things: big ring gauge, lots of pepper/earth, strength. Somehow the idea of body got mixed up with strength. Anyway, will definitely check these upmanns out!
