Popular Post Ryan
We went to Spain for my wife’s birthday last week on a four day driving tour of Bilbao, Logrono, Pamplona and San Sebastian for the food and sights. Brilliant trip and great fun. She had seen the movie, “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly” for the first time over Christmas and loved it. Which of course is great. We also saw Ennio Morricone play in Dublin in February and the show was fantastic. The theme to “The Ecstasy of Gold” from that scene in “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly” was the highlight. I knew the cemetery scene at the end was filmed in Northern Spain so we took a 200 mile detour to visit Arch Stanton’s grave. It’s near Salas de Los Infantes, in case anyone’s wondering, and thank God for GPS! The quote of the trip from my wife was, “Did you bring that jacket and trousers to Spain so you could look more like Tuco?” But of course. So here it is, with the original below it for reference. I don't think it's too bad for the 45 minutes we had while nobody else was around. And 1 iPhone. My thighs hurt the next day. Due to (ahem) copyright issues with the music, it won’t play on mobile devices, only computers. Original

scap99
You see, in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend: Those who watch the movie, and those who went there. You win.

ayepatz
Brilliant! That's made my day. By the narrowest of margins, that's my second favourite bit of Morricone, after the watch music in For a Few Dollars More, the bit with the outrageous bit of pipe organ. Funkadelic
Fantastic!! You should check out "La Calahorra" (near Sierra Nevada, Granada, km312 of the A-92 road), where they shot most train station scenes from many of the Dollars trilogy (Fistful of $, For A Few Dollars More, Good Bad & Ugly) AND the masterpiece Once Upon a Time in the West, as well as many, many other classics like Dr. Zhivago. Definitely worth a check out. I literally cried in emotion when I went there, magical place.
