You're a good sport, Sir.... I mean, Jhon! Hah well that's good I mean what can you do at this point, getting upset isn't going to change anything. Pour a scotch, light a cigar ... carry on. Sorry, Doc, you're right. At first glance, I was paying attention to the clothes being worn, not the background. Yes, my mistake - as you said, at the gala dinner at the Melia Cohiba hall. It was later on that night we went to Up & Down.
CanuckSARTech
And also agreed. @Ethernut's pictures are a wonderful step above the usual i-Potato pictures. I've gone down with a digital SLR at times as well, but I don't have the skillset to do all the tinkering and messing with things to chance colour saturation, ISO, aperture, etc., etc. (nor the time or patience to do that). But I love pictures like these such as what he's done (and similar to Tony's / "TDLPhoto"'s in the past - helps capture the juxtapositional nature of Cuba so well. The beauty mixed with the ugliness, the sadness mixed with the pleasure in everyday-life there.

Ethernut
I thought this was an interesting juxtaposition of architecture... The housing common to Havana Vieja along the Prado with a makeshift building from shipping containers built in the nest of a once expired structure..
Ethernut
Mom, the little ones, and grandma... @jacketfanspotted this shot (a little further in the shot above) and the light was just right to highlight the matriarch..
Ethernut
I really liked the paintings on the bottom. These little hand painted canvases were purchasable all over and were in the neighborhood of $35 CUC (although they could probably be had for $20). I came close to picking one up. Love to hang it in my office..
