For me the last couple of trips we have had a Casa Particular near La Cathedral....it is in Veradero, not far from Melia Cohiba. I will post up a pic of the biz card with the address. If you are giving a taxi guy directions then just say Linea "e" Ocho (8) it is a orange and red house/resturant. The food is Italian-ish with plenty of pasta and some cuban classics. Great prices at around $5-$7cuc for anything, drinks are $1.20cuc and deserts are fantastic. Oh and they do breakfast, lunch and dinner. A real gem we found this last trip was El Zaguan in Old Havana near the Police Fort. Best food we had with Lamb in Rosemary & honey, or Lamb in Wine....for $7cuc.
