retrofail
Just read a short, introductory article on Anne Hamilton-Bryne and "The Family". I thought Manson and Helter Skelter was some out there stuff, but this lady....yikes!! So, how was this lady never prosecuted?? Creepy stuff! Ken Gargett
not a big topic here or at least has not been for years. she was (is? last i heard she was still with us but suffering serious dementia, which probably means this is the sanest period of her life) an utter fruitcake, not that the world is short of those, who should have been jailed for involving kids in that religious whackjobs cult. she was arrested by the fbi, i thought. i gather that julien assange, along with his mother, spent a good part of his youth hiding from them. but, and the last thing i would ever do is defend any god-bothering box of frogs, but to compare them to manson is way way out of balance. as far as i know they didn't actually kill anyone. Fuzz
Heard she was on her death bed. As you say Ken, it has been a long time since she and "The Family" were news in Aus.
retrofail
I don't doubt she hasn't been news for a while. I just happened to come across a Vice News snippet on her. The kidnapped kids being dosed with LSD and connections to Assange and other high profile families is what piqued my interest. Didn't mean to directly compare to Manson. The world is full of fruitcakes, he just happens to be our most infamous (or most publicized).
