DONT TOSS IT. The worst that could happen already did. I'd go into the experience with very low expectations and see where it takes u. If it's **** half way through then put it out. If you repair it and it works bonus, you just learned something new Those are my thoughts

If you can't bring yourself to toss it, you can try keeping it as a donor to repair other cigars. Wet it thoroughly to remove the wrapper without crumbling it. The rest you can put into a pipe and smoke it.

Gum arabic.  I've successfully repaired worse on a few that were just too nice to toss.  No affect on flavor or burn.  Great stuff.

The cigar will be a little fugly, but otherwise just fine.
