Agreed, for Havana at least the combination of the two are all you need for 95% of all you'd do. For the love of all things sacred, update them *before* you hit Cuba. You dont want to try to download either one of their offline databases once you arrive.

I mean obviously I'm a noob, but if my home currency was anything other than the US Dollar I would just bring that and convert it.  The only exchange rate that is skewed is the dollar because of the embargo penalty isn't it?  Losing 3% or so exchanging at a bank before even setting foot in Cuba seems like a hassle and a waste of money if you don't have to.
