FOH: A Week In Pictures.

In honor of “Go Skateboarding Day” I hit the skatepark this morning and got in a little wallride before work. Tomorrow starts my 3-day weekend with more skating and some cigars. Hopefully more pics to post as the weekend progresses.

Tried to re-create my avatar, but man 6.5 years later it’s getting harder to launch in the air like that! Settled for a lipslide and carving the bowls.

I spent a lot of my time this weekend working and cleaning up around the house. I did manage to slip away for a little relaxation and a cigar once or twice.

This is my weekends.  Saturday morning is my flying classes where I will swing for a solid two hours trying to learn my tricks.  Sunday I put my coaching hat on and teach people (predominantly people there for their first time as a casual class), and at some point, climb into the catch trapeze to try and catch their tricks.  Come Monday, my body aches, my hands are torn apart and my legs are bruised.  And I spend the week recovering so I can do it all again next week.

To give some perspective on the height, in the picture below I would have let go of the bar above me when I was about 8 meters (26 feet) in the air.

Just back from a week on a 60 foot houseboat on Lake Powell between Arizona and Utah.   No cell service or internet-heavenly! Kids and adults had a great time.

To say we were well stocked is an understatement.  Plenty of beer, wine and whisky-plus about 3.5 gallons of tequila and vodka

This picture was taken from the Spilter Knoll Overlook on Skyline Drive in Virginia. Below is the Shenandoah Valley.
I was scouting for a nice sunset location. Unfortunately during sunset, there was a big cloud right in front of the sun.
But I managed to get this shot 20 minutes after sunset. 3 frame bracketed exposure merged in Lightroom.
I wonder why they are called "Blue Ridge Mountains"?

I'll post one from a couple days ago. I'm pretty happy after catching a decent-sized smallmouth while enjoying a La Puntilla. However, today my feet and legs are stinging like never before from baking in the sun in the kayak.. I'll spare you a picture of that.

Spent a bit of time adding a Spanish cedar lining to a plastic ammo can for a young Marine preparing to deploy overseas! I am not very good at woodworking, but I didn’t lose any fingers so it is counted as a success!
