Great wedding weekend! My dad turns 90 in July, my mum 85 this year. They danced away until closing time.  Ben and Hattie were magnificent. My youngest Brother Rick (left) went "to town

Had a good fall steelhead trip recently. Went 13 for 13 on steelhead in 2 and a half days. Excellent weather! The young angler James was successful as well!

Went to Cuba, smoked good cigars, ate good food, saw cool stuff.

Yeah filled with regular productions and some Italian REs made me happier than ever! Glad that I have brand new regular productions like QdO54. Also, they are aged CCs so +1 for me!

Had my fav Belgian beer Duvel 2 days ago. I haven't buy it since about 6-7 years ago, as it's difficult to source. Classic fruity; bitter chocolate; floral; citrus; tangy; full strength ale beer. Along with Hefeweizen (Erdinger, Weihenstephan, Paulaner) it's one of my staple ale beers for sure!

I have a bunch of Belgian Ales in 750 ml that going on 12+ years old aging in my cellar.  Can never find a reason to drink them.  Their usually just "too much" for me when I want a beer.

Personally, I never found too much everytime I drink Duvel though. Is it too strong for you? I understand since my mum doesn't like strong ale beers (prefers lager beers).

Not too strong in the sense of like drinking alcohol, but I see beer as more a beverage than an alcoholic drink.  I am not fan of the heavy beers in the US like Dogfish Head, etc...  I am more the Session Ale, or New England IPA styles.  If you are ever in Boston, you're welcome to take your pick to drink!

Thanks buddy! I prefer Scotch Single Malts over beers, but enjoying ale beers. Never had any Pale Ale or IPA, so will try them if I can. Is Boston famous for ale beers?

Boston is the home of Samuel Adams beers and Harpoon Brewery.  New England Hazy IPA is a particular style known to this region of the US.  Lots of citrus like tangerine tastes and with a refreshing edge.   A beer in brewed in VT called Heady Topper has people paying up to 10x the sale price for the beer.  Same style.

There is a large brewery near walking distance to my home (Jack's Abbey) that is a larger specialist.  They do a lot of beer in fine wooden barrels like it's wine!

I am not a big beer guy either, but do support our local breweries as much as possible.

Didn't know Boston is one of the modern beer mecca! Thanks to growth of micro breweries, IPA and Pale Ale gaining popularity (there are micro breweries in Seoul). Hope that I can visit Bostons and have a lots of ale beers XD!

Looks like my Lilly, she's 10. Never thought I would have a small dog, but man do I love her.

Yes, same coloring.  Hard not to love them.  He is the only one left in the house that comes running to greet me at the door.  He is actually 50 pounds, so not small, but not big either.  He usually has long hair around his head and face, sort of like a sheep dog.  This was my first attempt at dog grooming.

Freebie LaserUs.co.uk cigar stand and coffee mug from pandyboy just arrived to my house. Skull engravings on cigar stand and coffee mug are really sleek and badass. I'm surprised that I also have Lockdown edition wood cigar stand. I've always wanted to have good cigar rests and my wish is finally fufilled today!

Recent booze collections for last 2 days.

728162628_LeffeBlonde.jpg.8805045ad4de635f6eeb32535679957d.jpg

Leffe Blonde is full of sugar and corn; vanilla and cream; toffee and resin; barley and milk chocolate with fuller body and strength. It's not earth shattering ale beer (prefer Duvel over this Ale), but one of good Belgian Golden Ale/Abbey Ale for beginners and beer aficionados. It also provided me some clues about how would PLPC taste like. It deserves to be in my Ale rotation for sure!

316080122_GuinnessOriginal.jpg.96b45ed974eca7e1a4fba1138d8079e5.jpg

Guinness Original is my first Porter/Stout beer. This Stout tastes like mixture of JL, Party, and Monte cigars, but more sparkling and lighter strength. I never had Guinness Draught before, but it's quite disappointing stout, as I can notice it's dumbed down and lighter version of Guinness Draught (saw comparison between Guinness Original and Draught before drinking it). I'll buy Guinness Draught for comparison, but I just stick with one of my staple beers Dunkelweizen like Erdinger Dunkel for now.
