Hello all...

I appreciate the acceptance into this awesome group!

My name is Phil. I’ve occasionally enjoyed cigars over the past 10 years or so, but recently took my honeymoon to Grand Cayman where I was fortunate enough to come home with my first haul of CCs (85 total, photos attached).

I’ve been reading and learning so much on this forum, which I’m grateful for, and excited to continue and hopefully participate in 24:24/24:72s in the near future!

Upon arrival home, I purchased two humidors (Adorini Chianti and Adorini Cube) which I’m currently seasoning with Boveda 84%rh packs. In the meantime, I have my cigars being stored in a locker at my local smoke shop (at 70/70).

I hope I’m not damaging my CCs by keeping them at 70/70 in this interim period while I prepare my humidors? I would anticipate it not be longer than 3-4 weeks in that environment total. Perhaps one of you vets could let me know.

While I’m not a COMPLETE novice, this is my first time storing and aging this quantity of cigars. I would hate for the money spent to go to waste...

Anyways, that’s all for now. Looking forward to interacting with you all and continuing to build my collection. Cheers!

Welcome. Some nice cigars to start your collection.

Don't worry about storing your cigars at 70/70 for the time being. Most people on this forum are of the opinion that Cubans perform better at lower RH levels, but 70/70 has sort of been the standard for many years. Start talking about cigar storage, though and there are LOTS of opinions. I would experiment a little to find what works best for you.
