MountainMilG
I have a bad habit of settling on things I like, and not trying new things. As part of operation "try new stuff" I chose a nice fall drink from a bartending book I was reading, and it was a resounding success. The Stone Fence 2 oz bourbon (or rum or brandy, but I like bourbon) 1 dash angostura bitters (optional, I don't use) couple of ice cubes fill with apple cider Supposedly Ethan Allen and the Green Mountain Boys drank this during the Revolutionary War, but it used old New England rum which apparently isn't much a thing any more. I happily substitute bourbon, but you can use whatever you like. TASTY!
