madandana
RIP. Politics aside I know a few people who know the Bush family on a personal level and they all say you couldn’t meet a finer set of folks.
canadianbeaver
Takes pure guts to be President and maybe a side of who knows what. And then when the news hits you RIP at 94, gotta think, wow, that is incredible. Everyone in the country knew you and not because of your batting average. JamesKPolkEsq
After seeing the pictures of him looking at Barbara in repose, it seemed like the light had gone out of his heart. While I had my objections to the man, I hope he rests in peace.
Markspring1978
I had the opportunity to meet GWB a couple weeks ago, he was thoughtful, humorous, humble, and insightful. He has many touching moments reflecting on his father and mother. Say what you want about the Bush family, but I believe that history will be kinder to both GHWB and GWB than their presidencies were.
rcarlson
Regardless of some of his policy shortcomings, GHWB was a good man. We need more of his kind in this country. RIP.

I was neither a fan nor detractor, but I admired his grace and grit. I feel like we're well past an era of men like these steering the ship.
