Exciting stuff. I don't know why. I guess I thought they'd be a very functional version of that token tourist souvenir thing, something useful and something that I'd see a lot and have remind me of the trips, etc. Anyhow, friends and family started to take note of this behaviour and just decided that I liked coffee cups in general... Birthday, Xmas, Catch-ups, "Hello, haven't seen you in a while, here's a coffee cup!" , and so on. Pretty soon, I had coffee cups out the wazoo. I don't even know where they all are now. Which is troubling, since they just about require their own storage shed. Anyhoo, that said, I do love a good coffee cup. So I thought I'd post a few of the ones I have to hand (the vodka one is from my kids, which is an interesting insight on its own ). So if anyone else has a favourite or a collection (dear God, don't let it just be me!)... Post em' up if you do! (Apologies if there's an existing thread that's done this already. I searched but couldn't locate anything... but that's no guarantee with the um, quirky, Invision search function : )) This one was called something like "It's hard to get a handle on contemporary art"... hence the lack of a handle. I think it might have just been a manufacturing stuff-up that the marketing dept had to resurrect best they could... Also as for an attempted acquisition. My wife and I love New Orleans. We always hit Cafe du Monde. I wanted a cup from them real bad, and not a retail cup. I wanted a used one with character. My lovely wife kept trying to convince me to just take the one I was drinking from and leave a larger tip to cover it. Needless to say I was a coward.
