Habana Mike
I used to be big into home brewing. Kelly got me going with a starter kit - plastic buckets and an extract recipe. Found I enjoyed the process and result. As most things I find a passion for I dove in head deep. After a bit was doing dozens of batches a year. Went to a 45 degree conical fermenter and C02 driven Cornelius kegs early on - bottling is for the birds... With some encouragement from my local brew supply shop I started sending beers to competitions and working on my BJCP certification. Actually won a few awards. This one the top: It's been a few years since I've brewed though I still have all my gear. Maybe time to drag it all out and get brewing again!
CigarScentedBeard
I quit drinking when I got out of the military a few years ago..... But I still brew. I make Mead and wine. My claim to fame is cactus fruit mesquite Mead. That's what most of these are in the pic. Although I don't drink, I still really love the art form. What do I do with it all? Give it away to friends and family. My cactus fruit Mead is rarely given out, mostly for special occasions. I try to make 5-10 gallons at a time, let it rest for a year or two and then give em out. If anyone's in PA, I got a bottle for ya!

I've never thought to carbonate it. Does it change the overall taste?
