Love high proof bourbon, but agreed that the flavored 70 proof made it popular to the young, I want a shot at the bar drinker. But to me,   Brands across the board doing barrel proof bourbons has been very exciting!!! Currently old forester 1920 is pleasing

I think it's worth noting that the title of the article is the 25 most "important" bourbons--not the 25 best tasting bourbons.

It's also worth noting that the rankings were derived from a panel of 23 industry professionals who are presumably more educated in the history of bourbon than the average consumer.

Just my observations, which are worth exactly what you paid for it.
