That's amazing! Those cigars have been through quite a bit including probably a couple bombings if they are from the 40's! Wow!

Holy cow those look so good. Yes I believe the handwritten code on the label indicates March 1, 1945! 8 May, 1945 was V-E Day, so this would have been one of the last Cuban boxes delivered during the war.

Would be a damn shame to die without smoking at least one of those! Why save 'em? Unless they are going to auction for a fortune.

Eventually they will have to smoked,just whiskey is meant to be drunk.i guess I am like everybody here and am curious as to have they withstood the test of time?

I think that half the fun is delving into what was going on at the period of production. 

They are encyclopedias as much as cigars :cigar:

An encyclopedia is worthless unless opened up and read, and these cigars are the same way. 75 years old and full box. Time to pull one out, cut and light it up. Otherwise, what's the point?
