What is the song that moves you emotionally?

Recommended Posts

What song or hymn that moves you spiritually or emotionally when you hear it.  The one that makes you stop and think for a moment, and possibly brings a lump to your throat or a tear to your eye?

There are several in different genres for me, but a couple of standouts-  Yellow Ledbetter by Pearl Jam and Maggot Brain by Funkadelic.

Wonderful Choice! I’m surprised it’s even legal to play songs like this anymore in our country!

Love me some Lee Greenwood!

A Classic!

Sorry for your loss mate.   A great choice of song, you're right puts it all in focus

It's not just my grandfather. We all do it  we all excuse ourselves. We are working. We are tired. We are busy. Hell I still do it. But I shouldnt and none of us should. Spend time with those that matter before it's too late.

It was 24 years ago today that the world lost a bright shining star.

When the last rose of summer pricks my finger,
And the hot sun chills me to the bone,
When I can't hear the song for the singer,
And I can't tell my pillow from a stone,
I will walk alone by the black muddy river,
And sing me a song of my own,
I will walk alone by the black muddy river,
And sing me a song of my own.
