Popular Post BeerPimp
Been wanting to smoke one of the Punch Punch Tubos I got when they had the 24:24 with all the Tubos. When I saw them come up for sale I texted my friend and was planning on buying 2 3-packs so we could each have one. By the time I tried to check out they were gone so what the heck I will buy the whole box. I paired the cigar with a Stout which has chocolate and a hint of cinnamon. The cold draw was very tight I got hints of cream. First third the draw was very tight but not bad enough that it ruined the experience. The cigar was very firm under the band all the way back to the triple cap. Right from the beginning I got lots of vegetal , hay, and some cream. I have only smoked one other punch punch and it seems like you get a lot of earthy flavors and this one was no exception. It takes me back to when I first started getting into cigars and smoking NC Romeo y Julietas. The burn was very even. Second third and the draw is getting a touch worse. I have never had a need for my perfect draw but I figured I would try it on this cigar. It started to draw a bit better after the perfect draw. I am still getting the vegetal and hay flavors with a touch of white pepper. The cigar is burning super even and has an excellent ash. The last third the draw opens up while not perfect it is very good compared to the beginning. I have never done this but trying to get the band off I tore the wrapper DOH! It didn't effect the burn. The last third had tons of different flavors. It had the black pepper, leather, cedar, and even some mineral (salt). I never had to touch up this cigar which seems rare. I definitely can't wait to revisit these again when they have another 6 months on them.
