World Series Game 7: Washington Nationals 6 Houston Astros 2 (Washington wins the 2019 World Series 4-3)

The Nationals scored six runs in the last three innings to clinch their first World Series championship in franchise history! Anthony Rendon and Howie Kendrick hit critical home runs in the 7th innings to snatch the lead, which the Nationals did not relinquish thereafter. What a fairytale story it has been for Washington since their 19 wins and 31 losses start to the 2019 season. Zack Grienke pitched brilliantly for six innings but was pulled out of the game after surrendering a home run to Rendon and a walk to Juan Soto. No team has won 4 road games to win a World Series, nor has there been a World Series where all the road games were won (it was like a complete reversal of the 1991 Series where Minnesota beat Atlanta 4-3 and all the home games were won).

Good article there @Colt45. Dave Martinez, the Nationals Manager, didn't pull Scherzer after getting hitting for a home run, conceding the lead and having multiple runs a few times on base in the first five innings. I concur, Grienke should have been given the chance to close out the 7th innings because hypothetically speaking, if Howie Kendrick didn't hit that amazing home run of the right-field foul pole we may be congratulating the Astros today. If Grienke was still pitching the 7th, that may have been the case.

Heard a stat yesterday, of the 3 leagues (NHL, MLB, NBA) with more than 1400 series played, that was the first 7-game series were the road teams won all the games.
