Browsing through that list makes me realise how absolutely little appeal that selection has upon me.

I agree.  There is very little that is appealing on the list.  Most of it is dominated by double banders, many of which aren't even in circulation despite being "released".  As I type I still cannot cast a vote as I've only had 2 cigars from this list and they didn't impress me.  Maybe you can take solace in the fact that most smokers are after the double banders?  Just be sure to jump on regular production stuff if and when it rears its' head. ?

I smoked 4 from the list and can't say any appealed to me either. I still have hope that the rio seco might turn out well, but the one I had was so poorly constructed it ranked as one of the worst cigars I smoked this year. I'm really only giving them a shot because the San Juans have been absolutely outstanding in 18-19. Having said that, the late 18-19 Libertadors were the best cigars I smoked from this year.

Bound to say I don't. That trend is rather frightening to me.... :D.

Absolutely, the way to go for sure. For some it even appears to late, already.

Well, we knew it for long. HSA seems quite forcefully following its plan. And the recent changes in ownership surely won't help...

Honestly I think they are pretty damn close...I can't think of one descriptor I wouldn't use for both.

Just for shits & giggles I'll fire up both from the same year & smoke them side by side. If I live thru the experience, I'll post notes.

Has anyone heard from @Tstew75 to see if he lived through the experience?  Or are you guys busy dividing the spoils of his humidor after his untimely demise trying to do good service for the board? ?

i hate to derail the thread, but i feel exactly the same. smoked a cigar on the beach and all was good, but somewhere with drinks and comfy chairs would be nice.

We have a couple places on Oahu. In all seriousness I’m thinking of putting some nice chairs in the back of a truck with a cooler or pimping out a mobile cigar van for parking at the beach.
