Panama & Cigars

Recommended Posts

Anyone have any recommendations for local Panamanian cigars and/or cool lounges, smoke spots, etc...?  I'm headed there soon and was wondering if there are any places not to be missed for cigar people.

The short answer: No.

The longer answer: There are a few shops in Panama City. Arte Puro is at the Trump Hotel, and there is a Habanos Point in Casco Viejo (The old part of the city) Selection is ok, but you won’t find anything HTF or with more than a year or two of age. I did manage to find a box of Sir Winston a few years back. Taxes on tobacco are high in Panama, so cigars are expensive.

The owners of the shops are all very friendly and welcoming. I go to Panama every year, but I always bring my own sticks.

I love Panama!

Cigar shopping.....not so much.  Dmpotocek covered it nicely. :ok:

Take your own and head to a rooftop bar in Casco Viejo (Old Panama district).

Casa Casco is a perfect place.

@El Presidente Rob, here's one of your Nudies N1 at Casa Casco ?  Thanks for the recommendation!  Excuse the potato quality pic.
