Just got back from Varadero. Did my cigar shopping on a day trip at the RyJ Factory store. No signs of EL's. A lady there told me there weren't getting many on the island.

Tried them yet? Just bought a box with same code myself. The one sample i've made so far was decent but didnt blow my mind.

Would like to hear your thoughts on it

My box from the same source just came in today. Wonder when they will run out...

Still smoking through my 1999s from the same source which are outstanding. These 2007s certainly look and smell great but I'll have to see how they taste after a bit of a rest.

Finally arrived! H Upmann No 2 from 2001. Beautiful, beautiful cigars! I was searching high and low since last June for these. I'm going to let them rest for a month before I try one. It's only a partial box but that's all I need. Thanks RF!

Hello all,

My sister in-law just came back from Cuba. For my birthday, she bought me 2x10 Partagas 898. I am not familiar with this type of packaging and i would like to know what you think about it. They were bought at the Varadero airport

The first "layer" of packaging is a cardboard box, here is a picture of the box seen from the top and underneath with the box code

Inside the cardboard box there is a wooden box containing the cigars. No box code underneath the wooden box

I have the same boxes (LAR MAY 12), 2 of them as well. The boxes look legit with the standard markings in the correct places. Warrantee seal, DOP sticker and box code on cardboard, leaving nice varnished box free of any crap. These cigars are smoking reasonably well right now. No complaints. Enjoy!
