The best way to describe the difference, in my humble opinion, is the Partagas Serie D No.6 has the spice/pepper hit straight away, whereas you'd probably get the same thing out of a Partagas Serie D No.4 towards the end of the first third/beginning of the middle third. Made the mistake of smoking one with an IPA...note to self, hopps and Cuban smoke do not mix! Changed to a glass of Knob Creek and was much happier!
