Try one of the Topes... But, you'll only end up sparking more, that good!

I'm thinking of starting a tupperdor cause my fridge is to the gills. If these Topes poke their face around again I might buy them and start that tupperdor for long term aging.

Cheers!

Time to find out what all the cherry-flavored fuss is about.....

I have a box of psp short Churchill that I was so excited to try after reading the cherry overload description. Maybe they need time, but not a one I've tried even remotely tastes like a cherry, or anything good for that matter. Hopefully yours are a different story!

Casa del Habanos humidors in Havana were full of some very good selections last week, carried home as much as I could. Check out my trip report for some other photos.

Let the short churchills rest my friends. I had a box that had that ugly pale sickly looking wrappers. They took a few years but they are great now.
I have found RyJ need the most aging of almost any Marca. Similar to PL and Cohiba.

Had my first Short Church (2010 or '11 production) the other day, and must say I was very positively surprised (see my post in the Daily Smokes)

Tried to get some feedback from other members on current production but there wasn't much, unfortunately. If current production were all that good, I'd be in for several boxes for sure!

Got these E2 seconds from a sale here about 2 weeks ago. I could see why the Prez labeled these seconds. Very smokeable but not the prettiest wrappers. In the third pic below where you see the 4 sticks... Second from the left is considerably thinner rg than the rest. Seems like an entirely different vitola, but nonetheless these will be smoked without hesitation. This is currently my favorite non Cohiba stick so a-smoking-we-will-go. (CoRo's / Espléndidos / Siglo VI... Pick your fav cause I can't) Once I burn thru these I will consider paying the extra coin for prettier ones.

Cheers

Curious what the box code is on these? I also got a clearance box recently that has pale wrappers but smokes/tastes great despite being very young. AMO May 17 is what I have.

AMO May 17 is the exact code I have on my box. Could've been part of the same master case. Like I said in my OP, these are a little fugly but they smoked really well. The one weird stick was my only disappointment. It's considerably thinner than the rest but it's gonna go up in smoke too. Happy smoking!
