Wow, whilst I would want my 898 a tad darker, these are wonderful wrappers. the epitome of seamless vein free beauties.   Hats off, stellar box

Pure luck. :)

I bought these blind. Despite El Prez and others' seeming lack of concern, the "Last Box Codes" thread from last week has me concerned. So I'm prioritizing grabbing 898s as my budget allows.

They're my favorite day to day smoke, and a worry that they're going the way of of the Des Dieux hangs over.

If I'm wrong, the downside is having more of my favorite day to day smoke on hand. :D

They're not quite as light as they appear in the photo, but they're a bit lighter than I'd usually choose.

They look great, and yes, best stock up on these whilst you can.  In the new reality, you will be buying a flat box of 10 for the same price.........if not more

I am very thankful for the video doorbell today.  I was on my way home from my daughter’s soccer game, when the doorbell on my phone rang.  I had a feeling this is what he was holding, and I was able to convince the mailman to wait a couple of minutes until I got home.

I have to admit, that's the coolest looking mailman I've ever seen.

Just had a box of these in the mail today. I’m eager to try one after watching @JohnS reviewing these on youtube. But with a box code from march this year I would guess they need quite a bit of rest time before they reach full potential. I forget if you address this in the video John? Is it +5 years as the PLPC?

They are approachable younger than the Por Larranaga Petit Corona. My view is that if you get a 'caramel' hit from them than they are good to go, and that honestly could be when they are 12 to 24 months down, perhaps sooner. If they are more 'woody' and/or 'toasty' for you, give them a little more rest. This could be past the 2 or 3 year mark. The main thing is to sample one every 3 to 6 months to see how they are coming along. You will know when they are approaching their peak.
