I've personally found this bloke to be a wonderful source of A, knowledge....and B, reference .    To me Ralfy is a must if you are a whisky enthusiast.

Ralfy is terrific. He doesn't appear to be owned by anyone and he's got nothing for lousy casks and those that cut corners.

Yep,   He's a proper Serpico,  regardless if any big bucks distillers wanted to stuff his pockets,.... you know he would tell them to 'do one!'

I've watched many of his videos.. funny to watch the ones from 12 years ago and compare to present. Aqvavite is another good one, Scotch test dummies, Scotch 4 dummies and the whiskey tribe all have good content.

I love Ralfy too, though when he lapses into one of his anarchist rants he tends to lose me.  He's also a nostalgia buff where single malts are concerned, and while he does have a point (casks are obviously nowhere near as good generally as they were even a generation ago) that can get old at times.

Nevertheless, for entertainment value he's the clear head of the pack in whisk(e)y reviewing for me, and he can be quite educational too (as long as he's not reviewing bourbon/rye, where he's in way over his head).  His palate often disagrees with mine but that comes down to personal taste.  A unique personality and one of my favorite Youtubers bar none.
