Popular Post DanWil84
My first review, wondering what you have to add on to this! It would have been my submission to the contest if I wasn't to late ?. This cigar is coming from a box of 25 with boxcode MSU MAY 19. I store my cigars lose in a tupperdore at a steady 58-60% RH since beginning of January. Before this review I smoked 4 out of this box. Smoking conditions where around 8 degrees Celsius with a humidity around 75% outside. I don't dry box due to my storage conditions, I like all my sticks a bit lower in RH. Wrapper has a to me beautiful light brown hue which looked kinda rustic to me but with lumps or bumps, smell on the cigar and foot is hay with a floral connotation. The first one I smoked also ROTT was hitting me like a truck which I didn't expect, if you would have pulled the band I would say its a NC. Maybe my perception has been different of this one, it was mellow as can be, don't think storing it 2 months is going to change that a lot. Draw has never disappointed on this stick, a little lose to my liking. Smoking tempo was my regular with 45 seconds to a 1 minute between each draw. I did not drink anything while smoking this cigar. It started like it smelled, floral with sweet tobacco. Retro added a little tingle which I could identify as white/black pepper, not chili or cayenne, just regular table pepper which was a nice add on. As you can see it stacked nicely, the ash was a bit less white than on the photo and hold on for a inch at a time which I think is reasonable for a thinner RG. I usually don't experience a transition in a short stick like this for obvious reasons, but I was wrong with this one. The floral stayed, the sweetness dimmed down a bit with was replaced from the halfway point with a bit sour bitter fruity taste (like sour cherry maybe) which lasted quite long until the next draw. Maybe I was really into tasting as I was planning my first review. Retro stayed pleasantly pepperish. Draw and burn was razor sharp, sipping instead of drawing was enough. Smoke output was confirming the draw, smoked like a choo choo train Around the band it wouldn't draw anymore, after tapping the ash noticed it tunneled a bit, might be the storing and weather conditions at that point. I'm not going to give points as I don't have a solid system for it, but I would certainly buy this stick again and am very curious what other sizes would do for me in this marca. Smoking time was 40 minutes which I found very reasonable on a short stick like this. Thank you for reading!
