So, thank you to the community. My first cigar was a San Marcos? back in ‘93 here in Vegas. I had just turned 21 and finally decided it was time to give cigars a go. Why the tobacconist recommended THAT cigar I will never know but I was undeterred. It was a great time to get in. Cigar lounges seemed to pop up overnight. But just as quickly as they came they were gone. This was back when you needed the password, the handshake, and the finance to get a hold of a CC, all of which I did not have. Fast forward a few years, moved back to town a decade ago, after a 7-year stint in Sweden. This time with a wife, kids, minivan, the whole bit. Thanks to Covid I dusted off the humidor and began restocking. I then found the CC rabbit hole. “What do ya mean, I can buy CCs ONLINE!” I am now 3 humidors deep of mostly NCs but looking to balance the sheet. Being the Islandboy that I am, every past visit to Vegas has resulted in sensory overload, but luckily I have a co-worker who frequents the place, and happily brings me back Opus X specialties from Casa Fuente. I have some Casa Fuente lanceros I've been holding onto since '09 but after reading I might just light 'em up and hope for the best.
