Treberty's FOH Canadian Box Pass Thread

As the first stop up on the list, I have the honour to start up the Box Pass Thread for this year's edition.  Please use this thread to post up pictures of your proposed Puts/Takes, for Box Pass discussion, and anything else related to this Box Pass.  

Before I post up my proposed Puts and Takes, some details on the Box Pass package and some details to confirm.

I received the box from @treberty and I can say that the starting lineup is a great one, there's something for everyone and great sticks all around.  Included in the Box itself is the initial list, but I've added something else - the original FOH CAN/US Box Pass Journal.  This book was included in the 2 FOH Box Passes I've run in 2013 and 2017, and is a great way to write down your puts/takes, add some commentary or just pen some fun for all to enjoy.  Have a look through to see how the previous ones went, and keep the tradition going by adding in your bit from this pass!  The Journal is not mandatory, obviously, but something to keep the tradition alive.

In the Box Package you'll get in turn, is the Journal, the original starting list, an extra Boveda pack (69 RH), the Main Box Pass Container, The Organizer gift Box, and the Side Trade box.  
- The Journal ....already explained

- The Starting List - A reference for where we started.  I'll put in a updated one after my Puts Takes to show the new list, and recommend each passer (or Bertrand) updates the list as we go so people know what's in there.

- Extra Boveda Pack - The Main Container has 2 Boveda 69s in there now, if they start to get dry or need replacement, there's a spare ready to use.

- Main Box Pass Container - Picture below.  Sealed box with all the Box Pass Cigars in 5-finger bags.  The Bags are open in the container, to allow the bovedas to work, as the container should be airtight.  Make sure you seal it before you send it!

- The Organizer Gift Box - Another Box Pass Tradition.  Definitely not mandatory, but some folks like to add an extra stick in for the organizer, and as a previous organizer, I can say that this is a generous idea that I'd certainly like to pay forward, after being a recipient of some kind gift sticks in the past.  I've started this off with a pretty rare stick, an '02 RA 898 (surprise, Bertrand!), but if you wish to add something, it does not need to be anything so rare.  Give what you'd like, or nothing at all too - again, this is not mandatory.

- Side Trade Box - The Box Pass is good vector for side trades as well, if you wish to do a trade with other pass participants.  The Side Trade box will allow you to leave stick(s) for another member down the line.  I've started it off with 3 side trades here - one to Garnett, one to Havanaclub and one to Treberty.  Feel free to use this section to send your own trade to someone else if you wish!

A few other trade rules/etiquette:
- The Box needs to be sent Xpresspost, and the tracking provided to treberty and the next recipient.  No exceptions
- When you get the box in hand, you should have it done and sent on to the next recipient within 72 hrs (3 days). Obviously, if there is issues with this, discuss with treberty so everyone's aware.
- Make sure you provide pictures of your puts/takes before packing up the box, so that the organiser has a veto in case a stick doesn't measure up for any reason.
- Be reasonable with your proposals. Box Pass trades should be fair to the pass, you shouldn't be putting in less than you take.  That does mean that the pass will grow in value as it moves along, but it beats the alternative of the pass getting worse as it goes on.

Most of all - enjoy the pass!  We're in good hands with treberty, this should be a lot of fun!

Not to worry mate, we'll help you through.  I would recommend that if you're not sure, discuss offline first before posting up your picture of proposed puts/takes.  Sometimes there is a lot of back and forth to nail down a good set of puts/takes, and that best takes place in emails/private messages.

Hello,

Garnett sent the box to YVR today. After spending a bit more than a week in BC the box will travel to Windsor, ON. 

I must say that it's going really well so far! I have a feeling that things may get a bit out of control, but in a good way 🙃

I received the box in the mail yesterday. What a glorious sight. I didn't open the trade box, as I didn't want to drool on someone elses cigars.

After some consideration and confirmation from the powers that be, I have decided on the following Put / Takes

Diplomatico #2 - RAT FEB 20 (While still 'fresh' it was a PSP Diplo from 24:24)

Bolivar Jubilee Regional - LGR JUN 19 (From the FOH Christmas Sampler. Like Partagas, Bolivar just aren't for me. Hope someone else will enjoy it more than I would)
