Popular Post Meklown
Big disclaimer: fake box code! This stick was kindly gifted to me by @Bigfatpuff a couple of weeks ago. Only know the year for this one. Love a good Cohiba, especially one with a few years on it. The mix is fresh air (and highball). In HK we live in tiny flats so it is good for us to go out more often. It is also good for the dog (we named him highball) to get a bit in his senses. Upon lighting, I noted that it was slightly tannic on the draw. The main flavour was cedar. Smoke volume was actually light-medium but very velvety that made it feel more than it was. While the smoke came in with tannins, it left sweetness in the throat after each puff. Second third, the tannins gave way to bitter espresso. Milk chocolate gave a guest appearance. Nearer to the end, honey sweetness ramping up to complement the espresso. In whisky we generally don't like to describe it was "smooth" but that is basically the best word for this cigar. I'd wager a year or two for the initial tannins to be ironed out further. Smoked it to the nub. Overall 91/100. A good representation of what Cohiba offers. Smooth, velvety, flavourful, a touch under medium bodied, balanced.

Just the podium area under our block of flats, I don't even know if they allow smoking there (apparently do not officially allow unleashed dogs) 😂 but I haven't gotten a complaint so until then ..
Edicion
Nice review. What year was is the cigar from? I might need to read up on vintage Cohibas, and it might be the angle but I feel the band looks a bit off. The dots normally don't look like that so just interested in knowing more. Would be interesting to get some more experienced comments weighing in on this and possibly educate me! @Meklown

I'm not too familiar with the bands so I can't say for sure, but the retailer it was obtained from is very reputable. Appreciate to be able to learn if there are any red flags that I would wanna avoid in future.

The dots, as you mentioned, seem to be touching the gold surround of the COHIBA. Also, the Habana, Cuba script seems just a little too bold. attached is a known correct cigar/band.
