chicothecop
So I took an old wine cooler and gutted the non working cooling system. I installed the items pictured. The setup turns the fan on while the cooling system is running and when the cooling is off the fans run on and off on a schedule. Like 5 min on and 5 min off. Cooling is working great but my humidity levels spike and dip way to far out of range. What can I do to reduce the spikes and dips. I’m thinking tweaking the fan timing might help. Thank you all in advance for your help
chicothecop
Additional info. The space is about 2 cubic feet. No wood yet. I’m using plastic cups and sponges for moisture.

Ites
Never mind. I figured it out. So, out of curiosity.. What was causing your problem and how did you solve it?
chicothecop
Never mind. I figured it out. My initial plan was to use the larger wineador when I run out of space in my NewAir. The cooling part of the puzzle was easy. The humidity control is still an issue for me. I’ll keep experimenting with it. But I realized I’m trying to overcome a problem I can more easily just avoid. Since temp control was so simple. I’ll just keep anything I put in that Winador in boxes. With a boveda for good measure. the second Pic shows how stable humidity can be in a closed box. I know it’s high. I just seasoned it today
Timothy556
Is the hydrometer sensor in the direct path of the fan? It could be what is throwing off the readings so much.
