Sad to think that many of you have missed this era     ...if you have never rocked a transistor radio....you haven't lived.

ah Bo Derek. 80's icon.

we both know that is a lie. neither of us have the technical ability to work a pocket calculator.

Would the 70s hippie ideas of free love and make love, not war be possible to live by in 2018 and how can a single man live by these and get into

i remember when pocket calculators arrived. you could do "magic tricks" with them by coming up with various stories multiplying and dividing and then turning the thing upside down so the result, 58008 spelt BOOBS. you have no idea how much that amused schoolkids.

Looks same same to the transistor radio my girl friend was holding on her lap on a road trip to Spain back in 1972 in my Austin Mini ....

Can't believe I did crazy things like that, how I ever fit into that midget and that we survived it with nothing more than a broken fan belt near Madrid.

What a great post. Recognize every one of those items. The transistor radio, bag phone and reel to reel tape deck really take me back!

I still have a lot of those items. I recently found a Casio fx-100c calculator, 1980s Akai "boombox" (with removable speakers!), my first Walkman and Discman, plus many more from my childhood.

With the Panasonic 9 you forgot the little ear piece. Used to wear along sleeve short and run the cord through the sleeve so I could listen to the baseball playoff game whenI was in grade school.

With Bo you missed when she and I went dancing at the Disco 😎
