I saw it as FOH the organization (Mods / Leadership) are centrist in practice as everyone in a business should be (in my humble opinion) . We the unwashed masses who have the privilege of being member

I always have a chuckle  how a % of  US members can only look at a question through star spangled glasses. You do know there are 191 other  countries

We will have to fact check this one. Hard to see how so many "countries" can fit on a flat earth. Especially suspicious of you blokes "down under."

I agree with @SCgarman on the nature of the thread. Left, centrist, and right have only ONE context and that's political.

Nobody asks, do you lean right or left on the amount of seco leaf used in tobacco?

If we're down to get dirty, we can just go ahead and start uploading our voter registration cards. See how many "like- minded" friends we have among us. LoL

Let's turn to the dictionary... shall we? I forfeit my vote cause the poll is asking something that, either isn't possible or my simple mind doesn't comprehend.

Seems like the question was What is the discourse….What direction is the conversation in the threads…? NOT what is the political affiliation of any one member, groups of members, members as a whole or site owner, or organization as a whole. The question is the direction of political navigation in the site by conversation in the forum. In general, it is our belief that the DISCOURSE is xxxx xxxxxx at xxxxx (will update after poll closed).

A large number of votes to one direction will make it obvious what political affiliation the masses are lurking in…the OPPOSITE of that vote. 🤣

I've been sorting out a lot of vinyl today and listening to a lot of Test Dept especially the stuff they recorded for and with the miners in the '84 UK miners' strike. At the moment my head is full of hard left radical and caring socialist ideals. It was of it's time and that time is my youth.
I'll pass on the vote and sit here with a cigar and ponder how it all seemed so black and white back then.

I was talking with my brother the other day, and we had a long chat about how all the desperate, angry, dystopian music of the 80's sounds like it was written yesterday, about the politics about present day UK.

Maybe I'll go dust off my Crass records 👍

I'm imagine Crass records is a label and nothing to do with the word,

An anarchist punk band from early 80s UK, originally the miner's strike made me think of Billy Bragg, but nothing is more dystopian and angry to me than Crass's album Yes Sir I will, it would be a fitting soundtrack for a post-apocalyptic world.

The forum mods are completely fair and shut down biased political discussion. They do a great job of keeping everyone on point. However, based on my voracious reading of the forum daily for around 6 years, I sense the majority of members are center-right.

Might be interesting to run another poll after asking where people identify themselves. Would be cool to see if there's a gap between how people identify themselves vs. perceive others on the forum.

Then you are deviating from a cigar forum to a political forum. Then it all becomes a huge train wreck from there. No thanks!

With all due respect (and I do mean that).  There are lots of forum members who enjoy discussing non-American political topics.   The forum has proven over and over again, that it can have a productive and respectful discussions about politics in a non-American,  non-specific way.    I appreciate that you may want no part of thread of that nature, but as far as I can determine....it would be within the rules,  and not necessarily a train wreck.
