Popular Post Ford2112 Posted January 15, 2022 Popular Post Share Posted January 15, 2022 Morning drive and a cup of French roast Papua New Guinea coffee from my local coffee house,I figured if I had to go drop almost 5 bills on parts and labor for work equipment ,may as well enjoy the drive. I dug out a little Cohiba. Last one was all mongrel. A bit of rest has made a big difference . Guillotine cut just off the cap produced a firm draw,perfect as I like a bit of.resistance. Dry puff I get grass and hay,a but sweet. Cigar feels firm . No underfilling. 1st third opens with hay,a bit of spice,some creaminess. Razor sharp burn and good ash. The coffee is a perfect pairing. Getting some citrus notes. 2nd third . The citrus has really turned on now. That grassiness is prevalent and cream in spades. I'm really enjoying this little smoke. No edges. Perfect burn. Great flavors. So far it's a 92 cigar to me. Final third . A bit of spice again. Like Rob described it, mongrel wearing a dinner suit lol. Citrus is there in spades. Lemon grass,cream and spice. I have to slow down as it's getting a little hot. My only complaint is that the nub is a bit harsh. It's a young cigar and smaller cigars burn hot. I give it a 90/100. Sorry I misunderstood you. I used to smoke these on my way to work sometimes when I worked in Chicago (fully remote now). Huckleberry Posted January 17, 2022 Share Posted January 17, 2022 I have a mongrel palate but I can tell you these recent I's have the DNA to only get better and better as they add a few years of age. I have two boxes and they are nice now, and will only improve over the next 5, 10, 15 years. They have the body for it.
