Colt45
I was given these by a friend as part of a "summer flavors" case. Admittedly, I usually don't care for fruit in my beer, but I decided to give one a try. I was pleasantly surprised - it was not sweet, but rather crisp and refreshing. The cherry flavor was forward, but not oppressive. Though I wouldn't drink many, it would be a nice change of pace, especially during the hot summer months. Loki
I've tried several fruit beers, cranberry lambics and the like. While not bad one could never get stewed on them. Was the new Sam pilsner in your sampler? I picked up a couple of 22 ozs. and it was quite good.
gehrig24
This is good to hear, I just stated to my wife last night that I might have to try this this summer. I normally like a slice of lemon in my wheat beer but I think you are correct that the cherry would be a good change of pace. Any cigar pairings that came to mind when you sampled this beer? But now that you mention it, I'm more than willing to give it a try as well - if I must :-D
El Presidente
I enjoy them as a nice change of pace.....sort of like smoking a Padron Anny. If I have them too often they lose their impact.
effinwill
I prefer the Cranberry Lambic from Sam Adams, but neither c an compare to the real deal: Lindemann's Framboise (Kriek and Peche, too, but I prefer the Framboise). My wife loves the stuff so I bought her a keg of it for her b-day last year. Ridiculously expensive and, as EL Presidente said, it loses it's impact if that is all you have on hand day after day after day.... Here's a pic of the stuff in a 100 yr old glass stein :-D : http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v155/bigwill/DSCN0983.jpg
