I'm definitely too OCD for that. Rather it runs 10s fast than 1s slow... Otherwise I'd always be afraid of missing 24:24.

Applied my OCD powers to my $100 automatic. Might not have precision, but it's about as accurate as my quartz watches now. I just alternate resting it crown up or crown down overnight based on if it's fast or not.

What about whether you wear it on your left wrist or right wrist? How about if you wear it on your left wrist during the day and right wrist during the night? Does it make a difference if you are at work, out exercising, or sitting at home watching TV? What about temperature? Does it change based on the seasons? How about altitude?

Low temperature due to walks and smoking outdoors seems to help (I know this wasn't a serious question)...
