I've ordered and read this book on KG's recommendation. Andrew Rodriguez glosses over minutiae making it an easy read, but

he was still able to relay what it must have been like immediately before and after the revolution - at least as much as possible

without being there.

As Ken mentioned it is quite one sided - anti castro, and if one is looking for an in depth unbiased history, this would not be the book.

But as one man's tale, it is an interesting read. This is a print on demand book and would have to be ordered - I don't think it would

be available in bookstores.

So would you take Ken's recommendation again? :D

This is actually the second - first was "Looking For La Bomba", but when you put it that way, I do feel kind of...... dirty......

But let's give the man credit where we can - what else does he have going for him?

He's not much of a fisherman, his wine acumen is bog average, and until recently he was living at home with his mum.

(He is a good dancer, though).
