Very mild and light bodied to start, but a sweet aroma, paired with Warres Otima Port. Good combination, but keep hoping the RASS would get a little stronger. Some fellow who assembled the Christmas Sampler and made it available on Thanksgiving said it was a good one, so I bit. Had to buy several others in the same sampler just to get this one, but I'll figure something to do with them. What did you think of your first diplomatico 2? Upmann Magnum 48 Edicion Limitada 2009.Lost quite a bit of the bite when first released as I remembered it. Certainly more integrated and balanced. Highly enjoyable and beautifully aromatic.Coming together very nicely.Today, a Partagas Super Partagas from 2011.Age has dulled the sweet earthiness that this stick used to have while not really tempering the spiciness much.Dry, woody with black pepper and freshly ground coffee, has acceptable level of complexity and profile evolution but it's not particularly rich. I'm forced to keep those bonus sticks in hopes I can redeem the purchase. Very disappointing and far from the gushing reviews given here so I'll assume it was a less than stellar example.
